The results of our last editorial vote
An on-chain opportunity to help lost pets
New work from next generation label Nvak Collective
Our May playlist

You Voted…
In the last bulletin, Drew Austin shared three potential story ideas. You can see the results of the vote here. The winning pitch, about closed captioning, was published today.

Lost Pets of New York
"Lost Pets of New York" is Series Three of "Post Clarity," a five part NFT docu-series cataloging creative duo Highley Varlet's 260 marathon, 7,000 mile walking journey around the five boroughs of New York from June 2020-June 2021. We previously wrote about “Post Clarity” here.
"Lost Pets" seeks to memorialize every lost pet poster the pair encountered as they passed through each neighborhood in the city. The website component, LostPets.NYC, documents the posters themselves, while the NFT component takes each pet image and converts it into pixel art, making the file size small enough to be stored permanently on-chain.
All mint proceeds and any secondary royalties will go to Rikers Island Cat Rescue, a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to caring for and rehoming cats found on the Rikers Island jail complex.
The collection size is 200 pieces total, with each piece minting for .01 ETH each. All Dirt Founder Pass holders will have access to the allowlist mint starting on Wednesday, May 3rd. Public minting begins Friday, May 5th.

Dad (The Single)
Remember Nvak Collective? They’re a next generation record label and artist advocacy collective utilizing web3 to drive change for creators.
Co-Founded by industry veterans Tamar Kaprelian (Songwriter, Artist, Activist), Alex Salibian (Record Producer and Songwriter; Harry Styles), and Tamir Diab (Computer Graphics Supervisor; Avatar), Nvak signs and develops female, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ talent from emerging markets to amplify their voices in the global music industry and create a safer, more inclusive industry for years to come.

Annika Rose
Nvak will soon be releasing a first-of-its-kind Music Video Game for artist Annika Rose’s track “Bruises”. This innovative Unreal Engine 5 experience combines the power of artist storytelling with interactive gameplay elements to create an entirely new way to consume music. See a teaser here.
While the majority of the game will be accessible at the end of May, there is a special token-gated environment for the web3 community called the Listening Room. This space will only be accessible to those that mint the free Listening Room NFTicket, which unlocks immersive audio and visuals, in-game activations, and the opportunity to mint Annika’s next single “Dad”.

MAY MOOD
Another month, another playlist! This one features TikTok darling Daisha McBride, classic cruising tunes, and music from The Strokes’ newish singles retrospective.
